Returns Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Ready-made cymbals and other physical goods

If you buy a ready-made item online, you may normally cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason.

If you wish to cancel, email me at dave@collingwoodcymbals.com within that 14-day period. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.

Returned goods should be securely packaged and returned in the same condition in which they were received, allowing only for the handling reasonably necessary to inspect them.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning it. I recommend using a tracked or insured service appropriate to the value of the item.

I will refund the price paid, together with the cost of standard outbound delivery where required by law. Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method and within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or receiving evidence that they have been sent back.

Custom-made and commissioned cymbals

Cymbals made specifically to your requirements are bespoke goods.

Because they are made to order for an individual customer, the normal 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not generally apply once a bespoke item is being supplied to your specification.

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights.

If circumstances change while a commission is underway, please contact me as soon as possible and I will discuss what options are available.

Cymbal modifications

Modification work is carried out individually on a customer’s existing cymbal and may involve permanent and irreversible changes.

Before accepting a modification I will discuss the proposed work with you. If you ask me to begin providing the service during any applicable cancellation period, your cancellation rights may be affected once work has begun or been completed.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights where a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Workshops and dated events

Bookings for workshops, cymbal-making sessions and other leisure activities taking place on a specific date do not generally carry the standard 14-day cooling-off right that applies to many other online purchases.

Any cancellation, transfer or rescheduling arrangements specific to an event may also be stated on the relevant event or booking page.

If you are unable to attend, please contact me as early as possible and I will let you know what options are available.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If something arrives faulty, damaged, not as described or you believe there is another problem with your order, please contact me as soon as possible.

Please include your order details and, where useful, photographs showing the problem.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this Returns Policy.

How to arrange a return

Before sending anything back, email:

dave@collingwoodcymbals.com

Please include your name, order number if applicable, and a brief explanation of what you would like to return.

I will confirm the appropriate return address and any relevant instructions.

Do not send a cymbal or other item back without suitable protective packaging.

Questions

If you are unsure how this policy applies to your purchase, contact me before returning anything and I will be happy to clarify the process.
