Good to know

How does the bonus work?

Each time you pay, I add 20% of that payment as extra credit. Pay £50 and I add £10, so that payment gives you £60. The bonus is only ever on the payment you've just made, never on your total.

Does my credit run out?

No. Your credit never expires. If I ever close Maker's Credit, every bit of credit you've built up stays good to use.

Can I use it early?

Yes. Use your credit whenever it covers what you want, or book sooner and pay the difference.

How do I use my credit?

When you're ready, email me at dave@collingwoodcymbals.com and we'll find a date. I take the cost off your credit, and you pay any difference by card.

How do I check my balance?

Just email me and I'll tell you. I'll also send you a short balance update every three months.

How do I change or cancel my plan?

Use this link to switch to another plan or cancel. It's also in every receipt. A new plan starts from your next monthly payment. To pause, just email me.

What if I need to stop?

Pause or stop your payments any time, and keep all your credit. You can also ask for a refund at any time: I'll refund what you've paid in, minus any credit you've used. Bonus credit isn't refunded. This includes your legal right to cancel within 14 days.

Saving for someone else?

Sign up in your own name. Whenever you like, you can give some or all of your credit to someone else, and it's added to their credit with me. They use it just like their own. Once credit has been given, it can't be refunded.

Can I have more than one plan?

It's one plan per person. To pay in more, just switch to a bigger plan.

Is this a loan or a savings account?

Neither. It's prepaid credit with me, for my own sessions and training. You're not borrowing anything, there's no interest, and your money is kept separately from my business takings until you use it.

Can I spend it on a cymbal from the shop?

No. Maker's Credit is for cymbal-making sessions and training. Cymbals and commissions are paid for in the usual way.

Prices are in pounds. What about other currencies?

Payments are taken in pounds and your bank converts them. Your credit stays in pounds, so it always matches my prices.

Is this part of my Patreon membership?

No. This is separate from Patreon. Patreon payments don't count towards credit, and credit starts from the day you join.
