Very thin. Not built for hard hitters, but would suit accenting and short, sharp colour, as well as swells and texture. Dark and moody, with an aggressive mid-range.
Making a cymbal this thin is a way for me to test my grasp of structural concepts in cymbal making. I like to check in and see whether I do in fact understand the things I think I do, and to see what I can discover by pushing the parameters a bit further than might feel comfortable.
This one went very smoothly. The lathing is purely structural - I always say that in cymbal making you don't need to consider cosmetics - a well made thing looks good regardless, so that side of things is taken care of automatically.
