Matt Brown is a drummer/composer born and living in Bristol, England.


Matt's approach is firmly rooted in groove whilst also being open to the exploration of texture and melody within the drum kit.


Matt is the drummer in Run Logan Run and since joining the project has received a 4 star album review in Mojo Mag and 8/10 in Clash as well as regular BBC Radio 6 airplay.


In 2018 Run Logan Run won the Montreux Jazz Festival Talent awards and in 2021 Matt was invited back to be a part of The Montreux Jazz Festival Academy programme.

Matt's uniquely musical and creative approach has led him to tour internationally and record with the likes of Rodriguez (Searching for Sugarman), Marc Ford (Former Black Crowes Guitarist), Gregory Porter, Pee Wee Ellis, Andy Sheppard, This Is The Kit, Kirk Fletcher, Matt Schofield, Lillian Boutte, Get The Blessing, Elder Island, Post Data, Squirrel Flower and many more.

Matt also composes for and regularly performs with Bristol bands Sefrial, Orfic, Dakhla Brass and Modulus III. In 2014 due to Matt's work with Dakhla Brass he was featured in the ‘10 British Newcomers’ article of top UK drumming magazine ‘Rhythm’.
